How to add friends
To maintain a network of real-life connections, adding friends on noalgo.me requires a physical presence through the Digital Handshake.
- Open the app and navigate to your QR Profile.
- Have your friend scan your unique QR code using their app.
- Once scanned, you are instantly connected as friends.
Note: You cannot search for people or send requests to strangers. This ensures your circle remains 100% verified.
What can my friends see?
Your friends can see your profile details, including your status, bio, and recent activity. Specifically:
- Your shared posts and photos.
- Events you are hosting or attending.
- Your profile information (name, avatar, and mutual friends).
There are no "public" profiles. Only people you have scanned (or who have scanned you) can see your information.
Who can see my posts?
On noalgo.me, there is no "Discover" or "For You" page. Your posts are private by default.
Only your verified friends will see your posts in their chronological feed. Your content will never be shown to strangers, even through "likes" or "comments" from your friends.
Zero algorithms. Zero leak.
How Events Work
Creating an event on noalgo.me is designed for clarity and focus. Every event requires four essential pieces of information: a vibrant Image, a descriptive Name, the exact Date, and a specific Location. This ensures your friends have all the context they need to show up in real life.
To maintain the integrity and privacy of your gathering, only the event owner can invite new people. This prevents your private events from leaking into wider circles and ensures you have full control over the guest list at all times.
